Do you have art you need printed? I might be able to help.
My rates are pretty cheap for screen printing and will charge minimal amounts for labor. I doubt you will find many other places that will give you prices that i will charge. It is damn near impossible to list a price because each job is different.
Price will depend on the following
-how many colors of ink
-how much ink it will take
-how many copies you need
-how fast you need it done
-how much editing the art requires
-how much other printing I need to do
I've done printing for Phage Tapes, Small Doses, Violent Noise Atrocities, RONF Records, Dumpster Score, Obfuscated Records, Fusty Cunt and The Institute for Organic Conversations.
I'll print all sorts of packaging but I don't print shirts.
I do all my printing in my basement so there is definitely a lower limit to the size of half tone and text i can print. i have 5 screens, 2 that are 110 mesh and 3 that are 230 mesh.
Drop me an email if interested.
Help with design
---If your new to screenprinting and dont fully understand how it works let me know and i can try to explain it. youtube also has lots of good videos to explain the technique.
---One main problem with screen printing is the lack of shading that can be printed. instead you have to use something called half tones. half tones are a series of dots that vary in size to give the illusion of shade.
for example there is an image.
when screen printing i need to turn it into this
here is a zoomed in image of a section so you can see the dots
---I will need each color or pass in a different layer in the art file or i will have to separate them. please dont flatten the image. it will make me cry.
here is an example. the first image is what i want the final product to look like and the next two are the separated files.
---i have lots of templates so just ask and i can supply them. if the template is off the whole thing is ruined. go by the old saying "measure twice, cut once".
---make sure your images are at 300 dpi or your going to get pixelated images.
this is what some images look like when saved at low resolution. those steps are going to be there after i print it and its going to look bad. all hope is not lost if you have a low resolution file. we can either spend time cleaning it up in photoshop or just print the file and use a sharpie to smooth out the steps and scan it when it looks good.
